Nice Day for a Green Wedding

My husband and I are going to a wedding in Portland, Oregon in a couple of weeks. Our friends are more of the free spirit type than the "let's have an extensive gift registry type." I normally hesitate to buy people gifts that aren't from their wedding registry - but, since our friends don't exactly have one, I thought it might be a good occasion to buy them a green wedding gift. If you google "green wedding" or "green wedding gift ideas" you'll find tons of sites. It's kind of amazing how much is out there.

I found an "eco-chic" site called "re:modern" that has stylish, environmentally friendly "green" gifts. I wanted to find something neutral and useful. Here's what I'm thinking about buying. I'm going with a bamboo theme...
