Better late than never, right?

Apparently, my sense of time is rather vague. Way back in September I mentioned that my husband gave me a pretty necklace. (the layman's term is orange colored sapphire)

 

I don't wear much jewelery, so I appreciate pieces that have a unique appeal to them.

On a completely unrelated note, my SIL & MIL got me a pink Swiss army knife while in Italy. Love it!

 

I seem to be on a "let's post about random stuff streak" -- I'll continue. :-)

We have a new addition to our family! My husband and I adopted a basset hound/cocker-spaniel puppy on Thursday. He's such a sweet puppy. I can't wait to accessorize him. Our dog, Biscuit, isn't quite sure what to do with a puppy, but we think she'll warm up to him soon. (fingers crossed. Any advice?)

J'aime la French Cowgirl

What a fantastic store...The French Cowgirl. I first noticed it as Sarah and I were running the Oklahoma City half-marathon. We saw it after some horrendous hills. (We should have stopped by...hehe) They had all sorts of great things. (from home decor to vintage & designer clothing) I, however, opted for three random items.

 

First, I'm kind of into gold right now. I wanted to find vintage (and cheap!) gold bracelets.

I couldn't resist this pink (bedazzled maybe?) and zebra striped nail file. I'm normally more of a minimalist when it comes to accessories, but sometimes I like to buy items that I ordinarily wouldn't consider owning.

Last but not least -- this towel. It's currently in my kitchen. I almost felt guilty as I purchased it. (uh, almost..haha)

Local gems

I think that part of being "green" is supporting local businesses. To be honest, some of my best "finds" have come from my local area. I recently went to an adorable antique store in Oklahoma City called Mockingbird Manor.
